Overview
DASA work with a variety of agencies to ensure that victims receive all the necessary support to overcome their traumatic experiences and to plan for a better future.
We have trained specialists who offer confidential and non-judgemental advice to victims of domestic abuse. Contact will be made with the current or ex-partners of all service users who are participating in a domestic abuse perpetrator programme. A service will be offered to the victim that provides safety planning information and support whilst the service users are attending the programme.
How Domestic Abuse Safety Advisors can help:
- Each victim is designated a Domestic Abuse Safety Advisor to assess the victim’s risk of violence or abuse from their current or former partner;
- DASAs help to empower victims to take action by linking them with local specialist support services and helping them to build personal safety plans;
- Using our holistic family approach, DASAs prioritise the safety of victims and their children by working with other agencies that can provide further support.
Every time RISE facilitators work with a service user on a programme addressing domestic abuse, they will ensure that support is offered to the partner.
