Female Awareness and Domestic Abuse (FADA)

Overview

FADA is a 1-1 programme for women who are violent or abusive in domestic settings. There are 8-14 sessions where each session helps meet the needs of the individual. Trauma-informed techniques are used to help recognise many women engaging in this programme have/are also victims of domestic abuse. RISE has applied a culturally grounded approach to this programme.

The FADA programme uses a trauma-informed approach and incorporates attachment styles and mental health using cognitive behavioural therapy with a psychodynamic element. Child safeguarding is also prioritised in the programme to ensure safety of the wider family.
